You see, before I gave my life to Him I was in over my head.  My enemies and my past were bigger than me or anything I knew.  I was afraid. I had to give it all to Him or succumb to torment  which meant a valueless life of criminal and body degrading activities.  The Savior had hemmed me in.  Essentially He “Leshasot et Hachalovim” which means He set the dogs on me.  (I probably conjugated that wrong.)

Now, before you go thumbing through my scriptural journal, know that in this vault you will find personal, scripture centered, Savior guided thought: what I truly believed to be helpful and accurate at the time it was written. In fact, most all of the writing here is still helpful and accurate; but, to say I have not grown leaps and bounds since publishing some of these articles would be simply untrue. My hope is that The King of kings guides you through GTS to a better understanding of Him, and ultimately a deeper rooted and more richly intuitive relationship with your God.

  4. Thank you for sharing Gleaning The Scriptures and yes your battle it is one that we all go through before we put our Carnal flesh to death by the Spirit and are perfected in Love.

I also found that God’s Loving advice to us as shown in the Scriptures below is a freedom that we can experience as we follow His leading.

Philippians 4 ( 8- 9 ) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

    Christian Love Always – Anne

    • Thanks Anne, I hope you are well. What is your favorite scripture verse at the moment?

      • Thank you Gleaning The Scriptures for joining up with Freedomborn, I have only just found your reply above, it was not sent to me by WordPress but I did have a Computer crash which could be why I didn’t see it.

My favorite Scripture is the whole Bible but below gives me great comfort in knowing The LORD is with me and His Plans for me are very good and that He does not afflict me and this is also for all those He knows has His own.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you I have called you by name you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD your God the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil to give you a Future and a Hope.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

        Blessings – Anne.

  8. Thank you for the follow today. I begin most days gleaning the scriptures as part of my morning meditation. These verses on my kitchen counter remind me of biblical truths through the day: Psalm 68″19 and Jeremiah 29:11. Again, I appreciate your noting my blog, reflecting my Christian views.

  20. Hello – thank you for choosing to follow my blog. With so many options available, I sincerely appreciate your choice. I just read your post about The Nobleman. The gleaning touched my heart. I had never considered what his thoughts might have been as he walked back to his home, the doubts about “was what I experienced real”. Something I know I have experienced and I think probably most people have. Not only did Jesus answer his spoken prayer asking for healing, but his unspoken prayer of needing reassurance, comfort and encouragement by sending the servant out to meet him. Beautiful. Thank you. I look forward to reading more and pray unconditional hope will be poured into your life through the gleanings the Lord provides to you!

    • Thanks so much for the encouraging words. It is a blessing to be alive with others who truly care for God and His people. His song come from you and into the world today to uplift the broken and restore the faint hearted.

  25. Dear Gleaning,

The Hebrew would be pronounced “L’hagdeer et Haclaveem alai”

    Shalom b’yeshua ha’maschiach,

  26. You have a beautiful spirit which comes through so purely through your writings. Thank you for the following. May Abba continue pouring His Ruach through you.

    • I appreciate you… God’s Favor and blessing in your life and the lives of His loved ones in your network.

    • Recently, Gleaningthescriptures has included a link called “Torah Commands”. It is a Torah vault and because of the nature of the articles readers must have a password to enter. It would be an honor if you would like to be added to the email list for those posts, I would be pleased to send you the password.

  29. I was going to correct your Hebrew transliteration, which mine would maybe not be perfect, either, but I see another person was kind enough to do so for you, already. Some of my favorite prayers, etc., are the Aharonic blessing, the Shema, the V’ahavtah, and the “Be of courage and of good cheer” -type statements.

  30. Thank you for following my blog. I look forward to reading yours.
